Now, we are seeking an experienced Quality Director, Personal Care Solutions to join our team and lead the effective design and implementation of our quality strategy, quality management system, and related policies and procedures.

About the Quality Director Role

The Quality Director for Personal Care Solutions will play a critical role in ensuring that our products meet customer requirements and comply with applicable regulations and standards. This is a remote leadership opportunity that requires a strong and diverse skillset in quality management, personal care GMP regulations, and cleaning and sanitization practices. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of related experience in a personal care and/or food manufacturing environment and a demonstrated track record of success in developing and implementing quality management systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and subject matter expertise in the design and implementation of a comprehensive quality management system for the business.
  • Build a high-performing and highly effective quality organization through effective coaching, development, and training efforts.
  • Manage product quality inspection actions and assist in resolving product quality standard applications by examining and interpreting specifications and correcting inconsistencies.
  • Lead team efforts for collecting, analyzing, and summarizing product quality results data and trends.
  • Provide training and development in problem-solving methods, Design of Experiments (DoE), Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA), and Control Plans.
  • Track and monitor quality complaints/incidents and ensure rapid root cause analysis and corrective action implementation, including customer interface with top accounts.
  • Responsible for Non-Conformance Material Reviews and lead the team in developing and coordinating rework of materials to maximize operational efficiencies.
  • Support LEAN/HACCP concepts and other company standard practices and procedures.
  • Fulfill customer requirements relating to engineering or processing, such as FMEA, flow charting, and problem-solving.
  • Lead/support customer quality audits.

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in engineering, chemistry, biology, or a related science.
  • A minimum of 10 years of related experience in a personal care and/or food manufacturing environment.
  • A demonstrated track record of success in developing and implementing quality management systems.
  • Strong knowledge of personal care GMP regulations, including ISO 22716 and OTC requirements.
  • Strong knowledge and expertise in cleaning and sanitization practices.
  • Ability to build effective stakeholder relationships to drive results and continuous improvements.
  • Lab equipment knowledge and use: HPLC, GC, and FTIR.

Preferred Qualifications

While not essential, the following qualifications are preferred:

  • SAP or Oracle knowledge.
  • Experience with LEAN/HACCP concepts and other company standard practices and procedures.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
