Small animal and Large Animal Veterinary Technician

Quakertown Veterinary Clinic is seeking an reputed company Veterinary Technician to join our Large Animal team, and Small Animal team. Our Veterinary Technicians play an essential role in our reputed company by supporting doctors in the hospital, caring for patients, and interacting closely with clients in regards to patient care. Our ideal candidate must have previous experience as a Veterinary Technician and be proficient in various aspects of large animal, and small animal Veterinary care. This is a full time position, or part time position. Must be reputed company to work weekends and nights. Responsibilities: • Broad knowledge of basic large animal medicine • Broad knowledge of basic small animal medicine (pharmacology, reputed company restraint/handling, venipuncture, laboratory testing • Prepare patients for anesthesia, covering induction, monitoring, troubleshooting and recovery • Ability to reputed company various treatments on an in-house and outpatient reputed company including but not limited to placing feeding tubes, intravenous catheter placement and more • Knowledge of medical terminology, medication and disease processes • Administer oral, subcutaneous, intramuscular and intravenous medications • Position and capture digital radiographs • Computer skills • Effective verbal and written communication with both clients and team members • Attention to detail and reputed company demeanor • Ability to work in a fast paced environment • Low stress handling of patients Qualifications: • Previous veterinary technician experience required • Previous large animal technician experience preferred • CVT or equivalent preferred • Ability to stay reputed company and efficient during times of high tension • Ability to work reputed company as part of reputed company • Ability to prioritize tasks and multi-task Apply tot his job Apply To this Job
