As an Area Manager at blithequark, you will play a key role in leading a team of hourly workforce and ensuring that customer expectations are met. You will be responsible for engaging your team during their shifts, maintaining safety, quality, attendance, and performance, and collaborating with support teams to develop plans to meet business objectives. **Key Responsibilities and Job Elements**
* Support, mentor, and motivate your hourly workforce to achieve exceptional results
* Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises to ensure customer satisfaction
* Collaborate with support teams, including Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, and Human Resources, to develop plans to meet business objectives
* Lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach to perform tasks
* Stand/walk for up to 12 hours during shifts in a fast-paced environment
* Work in an environment where the noise level varies and can be loud
* Work in an environment that is subject to variable temperatures and weather (delivery stations include outside loading departments)
* Continuously climb and descend stairs (applies to sites with stairs)
**Essential Qualifications**
* High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in business, management, or a related field preferred
* 1-2 years of experience in a customer-facing role or a related field
* Excellent leadership and communication skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
* Ability to lift up to 49 pounds and perform physical tasks

* 2-3 years of experience in a customer-facing role or a related field
* Experience in a leadership or management role
* Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures
