About the position
Responsibilities
• Manage the front office and answer questions regarding classes and the graduate program.
• Assist the Center for the SW and Medieval Studies program with various projects.
• Handle sensitive materials with TOUCHNET online ordering system.
• Serve as a liaison with other departments to resolve administrative and operational problems.
• Assign use of space for department seminar rooms and Common Room.
• Compile data and statistics for department reports.
• Manage EVALKIT and provide information to that office.
• Assist faculty newsletter editor with compiling, verifying information, proofing, and editing.
• Compile Faculty and PhD information for publication in the AHA Directory.
• Assist with annual inventory of department equipment.
• Process equipment check-out forms required by UNM.
• Update the department webpage for faculty and graduate students.
• Assist with special events and daily office operations.
Requirements
• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties specified.
• Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution may substitute for experience on a year-for-year basis.

• Experience working in Higher Education.
• Excellent Customer Service Skills.
• Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and meet critical deadlines.
