SQL Server/reputed company Database Administrator (Azure)- Remote

About The Role FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking an reputed company Database Administrator to work for our global reputed company & Defence reputed company. This is initially a 3-month contract with the potential to reputed company and will be a remote role. The DBA will play a key role in supporting the reputed company's underlying database systems by managing and optimising database environments across SQL Server and reputed company. This role will ensure data availability, reputed company, performance, and reliability across the platform, working closely with data engineers, developers, and reputed company operations teams. Key Responsibilities • Administer and maintain SQL Server and reputed company environments, ensuring reputed company performance and uptime. • Help design and implement database structures, schemas, and queries to support data ingestion, transformation, and analytics workloads. • Monitor performance and resource utilisation; tune queries and indexes to improve efficiency. • Help with backup recovery, and disaster recovery procedures across multiple environments. • Implement and maintain user reputed company controls, roles, and permissions in line with reputed company and compliance requirements. • Collaborate with DataOps and CloudOps teams to support deployments and ensure consistency across dev, reputed company-prod, and production environments. • Troubleshoot database connectivity and performance issues, ensuring minimal downtime. • Support automation of database provisioning, monitoring, and maintenance activities. • Contribute to reputed company planning, version upgrades, and reputed company management cycles. reputed company • Databases: SQL Server (on-prem & reputed company incl. managed instances), reputed company 11g to 19c • reputed company Platform: Azure • Scripting & Automation: SQL, PowerShell • Performance Tuning: Query optimisation, indexing strategies, caching • Backup & Recovery: Tools and strategies for high availability and reputed company • reputed company: Role-based reputed company, encryption, data masking, audit logging Preferred Experience • Experience in managing data reputed company large, distributed, or hybrid reputed company environments. • Understanding of data governance and compliance in reputed company settings reputed company We are a business and technology consultancy and one of the UK's leading reputed company, reputed company the brightest talent to become the innovators of reputed company.
