Our Data Ventures team is a nimble startup incubated within blithequark, building a world-class suite of data products that provide actionable, customer-centric insights and help traders and suppliers make better business decisions on omni-channel 360 performance. **Job Responsibilities** As a Staff Data Scientist at blithequark, you will be responsible for: * **Data Source Identification**: Identify and extract relevant data sources, perform preliminary data quality tests, and review deliverables from junior team members. * **Problem Formulation**: Analyze business problems, identify root causes, and recommend solutions that drive business growth and profitability. * **Analytical Modeling**: Develop and deploy machine learning models, conduct exploratory data analysis, and create data visualizations to communicate insights to stakeholders. * **Model Deployment & Scaling**: Work with MLOps to push ML models to production, continuously log and track model performance, and identify areas for improvement. * **Code Development & Testing**: Write code to develop and deploy data solutions, create test cases, and contribute to code documentation and playbooks. * **Applied Business Acumen**: Evaluate business cases, influence stakeholder decision-making, and drive the execution of deliverables. * **Model Assessment & Validation**: Identify and evaluate model assessment metrics, apply testing and tuning strategies, and ensure testing records are documented and maintained. * **Data Visualization and Storytelling**: Develop data visualizations, create compelling stories, and present insights to various audiences. **What You'll Bring** * Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. * 4+ years of experience in an analytics-related field, with a strong background in machine learning, statistics, and data science. * Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL. * Experience with cloud computing platforms, such as AWS or Azure. * Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams. * Ability to execute projects from start to finish, with a focus on delivering high-quality results. **What We Offer** * Competitive salary range of $30-40/hour. * Comprehensive benefits package, including multiple health plan options, financial benefits, and education assistance. * Opportunities for career growth and professional development. * Collaborative and dynamic work environment. * Flexible remote work arrangements. **About blithequark** At blithequark, we are committed to creating a workplace that is inclusive, diverse, and supportive of our associates' well-being.
