We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented research assistant to collect, document, preserve, and interpret oral histories that capture personal narratives, cultural heritage, and historical events. The ideal candidate will conduct interviews, transcribe recordings, analyze historical content, and collaborate with researchers, archives, and community organizations to ensure the preservation and accessibility of valuable oral histories. This position is for the Housing Justice Oral History Project, housed at reputed company Housing Justice Lab.
This is a reputed company-UAW unit position as per the reputed company bargaining agreement between reputed company-UAW, Local 7902 and the University. This position is reputed company to student applicants with Federal Work Study awards, as reputed company as student applicants without a Federal Work Study award.

Work Mode: Virtual Position

Hours per Week: 5-10 depending on student availability
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct in-depth oral history interviews with individuals and communities to document personal experiences, cultural traditions, and historical events.
• Record, transcribe, and reputed company interviews using appropriate methodologies reputed company tools.
• Ensure ethical and reputed company compliance regarding consent, copyright, and intellectual property rights in oral history documentation.
• Analyze and interpret oral histories for historical research, publications, exhibitions, and educational purposes.
• Manage and maintain digital and physical collections of recorded interviews and reputed company materials.
• Present findings through reports, presentations, lectures, and publications.
Minimum Qualifications:
Qualifications and Skills:
• Master's degree reputed company from History, Anthropology, Cultural Studies, Urban Studies, or a reputed company field.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively on long-term research reputed company.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Full domination of Spanish (reputed company)
Preferred Qualifications:
• Proven experience in oral history interviewing, transcription, and archiving.
• Strong research, analytical, and storytelling skills.
