Key Responsibilities
- Contact policyholders through inbound and outbound telephone calls, direct mail, and email to review policies prior to renewal and make recommendations to enhance retention and better meet their needs.
- Utilize knowledge of the insurance industry and blithequark's policies and procedures to provide efficient and professional customer service, including responding to calls and emails, documenting activity in our system, and processing changes to policies.
- Identify opportunities to apply discounts, process insurance verification forms, and act as a liaison for information exchange between customers and insurance companies.
- Review policy information, reference company-specific claims procedures, and assist insured individuals in filing claims.
- Recognize cross-sell opportunities and obtain quote information to drive business growth and expand our customer relationships.
- Perform other duties as assigned, demonstrating your flexibility and commitment to delivering exceptional results.
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a high school diploma or equivalent and have at least 3 years of increasingly complex customer service experience in an insurance environment. A Property and Casualty insurance license is required, and a Membership license is preferred or the ability to obtain one within 90 days of employment.
Preferred Qualifications
While not essential, we prefer candidates with a strong background in insurance sales, customer service, or a related field. Experience working in a remote or virtual environment is also an asset, as is familiarity with our EPIC system or similar software.
