Career Coach & Work Placement Coordinator (Part-Time – Big Bear, CA)
We’re looking for a community-minded Career Coach to join our Career Launchpad program, delivered in partnership with the California Department of Rehabilitation (DOR).
This role is about connecting students to 100 hours of paid work experience with local employers — helping young people gain the confidence, skills, and real-world experience they need to launch their careers.
You’ll be part mentor, part connector, and part community builder. One day you’ll be coaching students, the next you’ll be out in the field meeting local business owners and matching them with motivated young people ready to work.
What You’ll Do
• Build relationships with local employers and schools across San Bernadino and Big Bear regions
• Connect students to 100-hour paid work placements
• Mentor students as they prepare for and complete their placements
• Collaborate with DOR counselors, educators, and community partners
• Track student progress and promote successful outcomes for all involved
About You
• You have existing relationships or strong knowledge of the local business community
• You’re passionate about advancing opportunities for young people
• You’re proactive, organized, and comfortable working independently
• Experience in education, workforce development, or community engagement is a plus
Role Details
• Location: Big Bear, California
• Hours: 15 hours per week (flexible)
• Contract: Part-time
• Start Date: Immediate
• If you’re well connected in the local area and want to make a real difference for local students, we’d love to hear from you.
