Part-Time Enrolled Agent (Remote – Evening Shift)

Our team is small, experienced, and fully remote — built around clear systems, consistency, and client care. Role Overview We’re looking for an experienced Enrolled Agent to join our team to prepare individual and small-business tax returns for existing clients in the beauty industry. This is a great opportunity for a retired or semi-retired tax professional, or an EA with a full-time day job, who wants stable, structured part-time work without the pressure of finding clients or selling services. What you’ll do • Prepare and review 1040, 1065, and 1120-S tax returns • Review uploaded documents and request missing information through our client portal • Communicate with clients via portal chat and/or phone calls (majority of our clients prefer chat) • Maintain detailed notes and ensure organized documentation for each case • Access and review IRS account transcripts for clients with active authorizations • Contact the IRS as needed to obtain account details or resolve smaller issues on behalf of clients • Maintain accurate, well-documented client files within our firm systems • Collaborate with our internal Client Success team for a smooth client experience Basic qualifications • Active Enrolled Agent (EA) license (required) • 2+ years of experience preparing individual and/or small business tax returns • Excellent written communication and attention to detail • Reliable computer, secure workspace, and high-speed internet • Authorized to work in the United States Preferred qualifications • Experience preparing S-Corp and partnership returns • Familiarity with ProConnect or similar professional tax software • Prior experience accessing IRS transcripts or contacting the IRS on behalf of clients • Familiarity with TaxDome or other client management systems • Prior IRS employment or tax resolution experience • Desire for long-term, part-time remote work beyond a single tax season Why you’ll love it here • We embrace imperfection while taking responsibility for our actions and decisions • We pursue excellence in all we do • We don’t show preferential treatment to educational degrees, statuses or language proficiencies • We value simplicity over complexity • We obsess over high profits and tax saving strategies Our benefits include: • $35 – $45/hour (W-2, paid biweekly) • No marketing, no client acquisition — all work is assigned through our internal systems • Flexible, remote environment with clear processes and supportive team communication • Chance to make a meaningful impact on the success of small business owners in the hair industry Job Type: Part-time Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week Benefits: • 401(k) • 401(k) matching • Work from home Experience: • Tax: 2 years (Required) License/Certification: • Enrolled Agent (EA) license?
