This is a remote position; however, candidates must reside in Arkansas to attend periodic staff meetings and be available for in-person engagements as needed.

Position Summary:
Responsible for coding and billing for physician offices. Post all charges to each designated patient account.
• Performs ICD-10-CM and CPT coding on all physician clinic billing within one day of service via Athena.
• Responsible for coding optimization on all charts.
• Maintain general knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid and HMO contracts, policies and procedures for billing and collections.
• File claims via electronically and monitor the transmission of the claims on a daily basis.
• Ensure charges are entered in a timely manner.
Minimum Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CPC certified coder required.
• ICM-10-CM and CPT coding experience required.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy required.
• Excellent interpersonal and telephone communication skills.
• At least three years of experience in acute care and or physician office setting in coding/billing.
• Attend coding workshops and review job related material regularly.
• Exhibits and understanding of contractual regulations.
