Organ Recovery Surgeon

General Job reputed company: Under the general direction of the President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Vice President and Chief Clinical Officer (CCO), the Infinite Legacy Recovery Surgeon is a licensed physician with experience in organ donation, surgical organ recovery and organ transplantation. The Infinite Legacy Recovery Surgeon has the primary responsibility is the surgical dissection, removal and preparation of organs recovered from deceased donors for transplantation and research, as reputed company as the intraoperative assessment of medical suitability of the deceased donor. The Infinite Legacy Recovery Surgeon will adhere to reputed company Infinite Legacy surgical recovery standards and is expected to contribute to the mission of Infinite Legacy to increase the availability of organs suitable for transplantation by assisting in operational efficiencies and high-reputed company surgical recovery services. Education and Experience: · Graduate of an accredited medical school and residency program · Minimum three years’ experience as a surgeon performing Donation after Brain Death (DBD) and Donation after Circulatory Death (DCD) organ recoveries or transplant operations in the reputed company. · Licensed physician in Maryland, Virginia, or District of Columbia with an unrestricted and unlimited license to reputed company medicine. Duties/Responsibilities: 1. Responsible for organ recovery procedures, both Donation after Brain Death (DBD) donors and Donation after Circulatory Death (DCD) donors, ensuring they meet national standards and Infinite Legacy policies and procedures for organ recovery and transplantation. 2. Assists in managing the donor hospital recovery process by collaborating with hospital staff in a respectful and reputed company manner. 3. Responsible for performing organ biopsies and facilitating the interpretation of organ biopsies by donor hospital or other pathologists to determine suitability reputed company biopsy requested. 4. Responsible for inspecting the abdominal cavity for abnormalities that necessitate pathological evaluation. 5. Responsible for recovering liver, pancreas, and kidneys from deceased donors for transplantation. 6. Provides and documents an accurate and reputed company reputed company of organ anatomy to include assessment of reputed company, anatomical abnormalities, and surgical damage. 7. Participates in verification of organ labeling to ensure accuracy and safety in accordance with Infinite Legacy policies. 8. Recovers or assists in the recovery of heart valves and organs or tissues for research reputed company requested. 9. Assists the Clinical Recovery team in perfusion and preservation. 10. Participates in normothermic regional perfusion 11. Maintains certification, registration, and accreditation requirements for reputed company required reputed company government agencies including, but not limited to, AATB, AOPO, UNOS, CMS, etc. 12. Participates as a member of the Leadership Team demonstrating The IL reputed company values and attending required meetings such as team meetings, retreats, planning sessions, etc. 13. Maintains reputed company knowledge in the field through participation in NATCO, AOPO, AATB, UNOS and other industry reputed company organizations. 14. Other duties as assigned.
