Position: Operations Engineer II
Location: Greenville, South Carolina
Multiple Positions Available

  • Plan, design and implement complex high-volume direct-to-consumer fulfillment processes, systems and facilities for capacity expansion and continuous improvement of worldwide fulfillment infrastructure throughout the large-scale supply chain network that increases critical-to-quality (CTQ) business needs by improving integration of people, materials, equipment, software, and finance.
  • Provide technical leadership for large-scale industrial engineering projects using MS Excel, AutoCad and MS Project.
  • Work with complex Material Handling Systems, packaging equipment and other processing gear to design safe and efficient fulfillment processes.
  • Use Process Improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma and/or Kaizen to analyze Fulfillment Center processes and equipment and recommend and implement improvements to safety procedures, work processes and labor standards.
  • Lead and coordinate design efforts between internal teams and outside vendors to develop optimal solutions for the network, including equipment specification, material flow, process design, and site layout.
  • Manage capital projects and create conceptual F.b/c: Minimum Job Requirements and/or Alternative Job Requirements drawings, equipment specifications and bid documentation to facilitate a competitive bid environment.
  • Monitor and enforce project schedules and quality with vendors or subcontractors.
  • Inspect facilities in accordance with corporate standards and procedures relating to material handling, processing and storage.
  • Develop and manage budget and contract documents including Requests for Proposals, change order controls, purchase orders and invoicing.
  • Coordinate with local site management to ensure proper operator training, procedural compliance, maintenance and safety practices are followed for new and existing equipment.
  • Domestic travel up to 80% to perform role responsibilities may be required
Basic Qualifications
A Master's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Engineering, Logistics, Computer Science, Business Administration/Management, Math or related discipline and 2 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. In the alternative, employer will accept a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Engineering, Logistics, Computer Science, Business Administration/Management, Math or related discipline followed by 5 years of progressively responsible postbaccalaureate experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
Experience Must Include
  • 2 years of experience in managing material handling or automation projects.
  • 2 years of design and/or implementation experience with integrated automation solutions, such as material handling systems, highspeed packaging lines, or manufacturing lines.
  • 2 years of experience with CAD software (AutoCAD, REVIT, BIM 360, etc.) 4. 2 years of Operations Management/Distribution Center experience.
  • 2 years of experience with Six Sigma, Lean manufacturing efforts, transportation/logistics and/or fulfillment/distribution centers.
  • 2 years of experience in material handling, automation, or technical project management
