You'll help the team develop and leverage their knowledge base to expedite the resolution of recurrent issues, identify ways to proactively reduce requests through automation, documentation, and process improvement, and set high standards for issue handling, escalation, and problem management across the organization. **Key Responsibilities:** * Manage local and/or remote resources to ensure seamless IT support for Amazon employees worldwide * Assist the global organization in defining the perfect customer experience and own strategies to create that experience * Help the team develop and leverage their knowledge base to expedite the resolution of recurrent issues * Identify ways to proactively reduce requests through automation, documentation, and process improvement * Set high standards for issue handling, escalation, and problem management across the organization * Guide the team with metrics and goals that clearly measure their success **Essential Qualifications:** * 5 years of experience developing a team of technical professionals across multiple locations * 2 years of experience leading technology teams as an IT Operations Manager * Bachelor's degree, or 4 years of professional or military experience * Knowledge of Linux or Unix systems administration **Preferred Qualifications:** * Experience with AWS IT Services Support or similar IT support environments * Strong leadership and team management skills * Excellent communication and problem-solving skills * Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment * Experience with IT service management tools and technologies **Skills and Competencies:** * Strong technical skills, with a focus on Linux or Unix systems administration * Excellent leadership and team management skills * Strong communication and problem-solving skills * Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment * Experience with IT service management tools and technologies * Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills * Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits:** At blithequark, we're committed to helping our employees grow and develop their careers.
