Job Overview

The Data Science Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies, processes, and frameworks to unite and analyze various data sets, including structured and unstructured data. This role will involve managing everyday functional activities, directing team(s) assigned to projects, and overseeing executions to ensure that assets are allocated accurately and represented properly. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data science, statistics, and programming, as well as excellent leadership and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develops and implements strategies, processes, and frameworks to unite and analyze various data sets, including structured and unstructured data.
  • Manages everyday functional activities, directs team(s) assigned to projects, and oversees executions to ensure that assets are allocated accurately and represented properly.
  • Plans, creates, and carries out techniques, cycles, and frameworks to unite and break down assorted informational indexes, including organized and unstructured data.
  • Proceeds as a subject matter expert and may act as a point of acceleration and become effectively involved, as expected, to meet timelines and resolve issues profoundly complex in nature.
  • Oversees issues proactively, including convenient goal and the recognizable proof of remediation valuable open doors.
  • Creates programming programs, algorithms, dashboards, data tools, and inquiries to clean, model, integrate, and assess datasets.
  • Stays informed concerning new scientific techniques and innovations.
  • Teams up with functional specialty units to drive business arrangements and heading.
  • Lays out credibility with partners while overseeing assumptions, and ensures regular, consistent, and effective communications with colleagues and partners to define expectations and arrange boundaries properly.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative, computational, or technical discipline.
  • Experience with analysis and statistical software like SQL, R, Python, Excel, Hadoop, SAS, SPSS, and/or others to perform analysis and interpret data.
  • Profound knowledge of SQL and open-source data science and statistics packages like Python, R, Spark, etc.
  • Experience establishing and maintaining key relationships with internal (peers, colleagues, and leadership) and external (business community, clients, and vendors) partners to foster strategies that meet office objectives within budget and timelines.
  • At least 2 years of experience contributing to financial decisions in the workplace.
  • At least 2 years of direct management, indirect leadership, and/or cross-functional team leadership.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in a quantitative, computational, or technical discipline.
  • Experience communicating at the executive level.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams.
