**Responsibilities**
As a Mechanical Customer Service Expert, your key responsibilities will include:
* Handling and carefully responding to all customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner
* Providing excellent customer service through active listening, empathy, and a solutions-focused approach
* Working with confidential customer information and treating it sensitively, adhering to blithequark's data protection policies
* Aiming to resolve issues on the first call by being proactive and taking ownership of customer concerns
* Appropriately communicating with customers, both verbally and in writing, to ensure clear understanding and resolution
* Calmly attempting to resolve and de-escalate any issues that may arise, using effective conflict resolution techniques
* Escalating interactions when necessary and appropriate, to ensure that customer concerns are addressed promptly and effectively
* Tracking all call-related information for auditing and reporting purposes, to help improve customer service processes and outcomes
* Providing feedback on call issues, to help identify areas for improvement and optimize customer service delivery
**Requirements**
To be successful in this role, you'll need to possess the following essential qualifications:
* Ability to work remotely in a virtual team environment, with a strong internet connection and reliable computer equipment
* 6 months of customer service experience, preferably in a mechanical or technical field
* Over 18 years of age, with a valid government-issued ID
* Ability to type 25 words per minute, with accuracy and speed
* High School Graduate or GED, with a strong foundation in communication and problem-solving skills
* Comfort with desktop computer systems, including Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications
* Proven oral and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas and solutions clearly and concisely
* Logical problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze situations and develop effective solutions
* Ability to navigate Windows operating systems, with a strong understanding of computer hardware and software
**Nice-to-Haves**
While not essential, the following qualifications would be highly desirable:
* Experience working in a mechanical or technical field, with a strong understanding of customer needs and preferences
* Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) software and other technical tools
* Certification in customer service, such as Certified Customer Service Representative (CCSR) or Certified Customer Service Manager (CCSM)
* Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a strong ability to adapt to changing circumstances
