Job Overview

This part-time, entry-level position is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to launch their career in supply chain and logistics. You will be working 15-20 hours per week, Monday through Friday, between 8 AM and 5 PM. As a Data Entry Technician, you will play a vital role in our team by ensuring accurate and timely data entry, understanding customs documentation, and providing exceptional customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure accurate and timely data entry into our operating system, maintaining high levels of precision and attention to detail.
  • Understand and identify customs documentation, including the ability to transpose customs declaration information from documents into the customs entry system.
  • Verify documents received for Import customs purposes are compliant and correct, adhering to regulatory requirements at all times.
  • Provide excellent customer service, building and maintaining strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, including clients, colleagues, and management.
  • Daily execution of workflow and department metrics, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Collaborate with the team to achieve departmental goals and objectives, contributing to the overall success of blithequark.

Qualifications and Skills

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in a related field, such as logistics, supply chain management, or business administration.
  • Effective interpersonal skills, including proven abilities to listen, comprehend, and communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient computer skills, including solid data entry with high accuracy rate, email, internet, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • A growth mindset, with a desire to learn and develop your skills in the supply chain and logistics industry.
  • A strong passion for delivering exceptional customer service and building long-lasting relationships.

Preferred Qualifications

While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable:

  • Previous experience in data entry, customs brokerage, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of customs regulations and procedures, including Harmonized System (HS) codes and tariff classification.
  • Familiarity with logistics and supply chain management software, including transportation management systems (TMS) and warehouse management systems (WMS).
  • Certifications or training in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field, such as the Certified Logistics, Transportation and Distribution (CLTD) or the Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) designations.
