Revenue Specialist I
Job Description:
• Researching reported issues to validate the root cause and reviewing for accuracy to maximize efficiency and eliminate non-value add work.
• Resolving discrepancies that prevent us from receiving quality data, at both the patient and payor levels.
• Providing case studies and examples to illustrate issues and communicate with vendors to drive resolution.
• Audit Eligibility and Insurance Discovery alerts to ensure the correct action is taken.
• Driving next steps including correcting TM errors, defining best practices, and enhancing workflows.
• Periodically reviewing existing processes to make refinements.
• Identifying changes to payor behavior and broader system solutions to confirm if workflows need to be adjusted.
• Partnering with embedded analysts to layer business context over analytical insights.
Requirements:
• High school diploma or GED, required
• Associates or Bachelor’s degree, highly preferred
• Ability to research and problem solve, using analytical and critical thinking skills
• Healthcare and medical billing/collections experience is preferred
• Intermediate computer proficiency in Microsoft Office including: OneNote, Excel, and Outlook
• Demonstrated history of resolving challenging issues
