Job Overview

The Quality Control Standards Data Analyst will be responsible for analyzing complex data sets to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement. This role will involve working closely with stakeholders to develop and implement data-driven solutions that enhance our quality control processes and support our business objectives. The successful candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform timely data collection, validation, and root cause analysis on data elements to support quality control initiatives
  • Assist in creating and presenting results from complex data and analysis for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to analyze ad-hoc requests resulting from emerging support issues and provide insightful recommendations to inform business decisions
  • Presentation of insights, trends, and potential recommendations using data visualization tools to facilitate stakeholder understanding
  • Develop and distribute specific queries to pull and organize data from various sources, establishing the rhythm and validating the need for data requirements
  • Identify irregularities in processes through audits and convey findings to the team
  • Assess the effectiveness of processes and techniques by monitoring for trends and errors
  • Ensure a compliance mindset is at the center of every decision
  • May perform other work duties as directed by the Team Leader

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:

  • Strong ability to collect, organize, analyze critical amounts of data with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to effectively listen to, understand, and communicate ideas and present written, verbal, or presentation materials to groups of varying audiences
  • Ability to assess business issues, identify opportunities for data needs, and interpret resulting metrics
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of data visualization tools and capabilities, such as Tableau, Alteryx, and QuickBase, is preferred
  • Ability to troubleshoot, to summarize, and perform root cause analysis on data, and provide recommendations using logic and reasoning
  • Able to use PowerPoint to build presentations for verbal communications is preferred
  • Past internship, capstone projects, and research coursework is preferred
  • Able to work effectively in a strong support/team-oriented environment
  • Able to prioritize responsibilities effectively and be an independent self-starter
  • Past internship experience in a related field is preferred
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately
  • Ability to plan and support large business initiatives

Preferred Qualifications

In addition to the essential qualifications, the following preferred qualifications will be considered an asset:

  • Experience working in a quality control or data analysis role
  • Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards
  • Experience with data mining and statistical analysis techniques
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, R, or SQL
  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms and tools
