We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of robust, flexible, and protection-driven data structures. **Key Responsibilities** As a Full Stack Data Engineer – Privacy (L4), you will: * Collaborate with our data engineering teams to design and implement efficient, scalable, and secure data pipelines using technologies such as Java, Python, Scala, Hive, Voila, Flash, Flink, and Kafka. * Develop high-quality data structures that enable the proper handling of client personal data. * Work closely with our security and legal teams to understand item objectives and provide data that enables us to respond to client and regulatory data requests. * Maintain and re-evaluate existing datasets and pipelines to ensure they meet the evolving needs of our business. * Join a talented team of data engineers who are dedicated to enhancing our data protection practices and mitigating legal and regulatory risks. **Essential Qualifications** * Strong background in data engineering, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in programming and data engineering. * Proficiency in at least one of the following programming languages: Java, Python, or Scala. * Excellent understanding of advanced SQL concepts. * Experience in designing data pipelines using big data technologies (Hive, Voila, Flash, Flink) on medium to large-scale datasets. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to take requirements and deliver flexible data models and pipelines. * Passion for data protection and security, with a commitment to upholding the highest standards of data handling. **Preferred Qualifications** * Experience working with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure). * Familiarity with data governance and compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, CCPA). * Strong understanding of data visualization tools and techniques. * Experience with agile development methodologies and version control systems (e.g., Git). **Skills and Competencies** * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. * Excellent communication and collaboration skills. * Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. * Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. * Passion for data protection and security. * Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies. **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits** At blithequark, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
