Billing Specialist I - Mom and Baby
About the position
Responsibilities
• Monitor and analyze denied claims, while also addressing the root cause
• Investigate and report on trends associated to unpaid claims
• Find innovative solutions to problems
• Interpret Insurance guidelines, fee schedules, contracts, etc. to ensure compliance
• Respond to any incoming correspondence
• Maintain individual metrics
• Assist the Customer Experience team with incoming phone calls to the billing department, if needed
• Perform other duties as required
• Maintain HIPAA/patient confidentiality
• Regular and reliable attendance as assigned by your schedule
Requirements
• High school diploma or GED
• Outstanding written and verbal communication
• General computer and email proficiency
Nice-to-haves
• Medical Billing experience is strongly preferred
• Experience with performing data analysis
