**Your Day at blithequark**
As a Customer Service Associate in our Tool Rental department, you'll be the face of blithequark, welcoming customers to our stores and helping them find the right products and services for their home improvement needs. Your day will be filled with a range of exciting tasks, including:
* **Welcoming customers**: You'll be the first point of contact for many of our customers, so it's essential that you're warm, friendly, and welcoming.
* **Assisting customers**: Whether it's answering questions, helping customers find products, or loading merchandise, you'll be the go-to person for all things customer service.
* **Organizing merchandise**: You'll be responsible for ensuring that our stores are well-stocked and organized, so customers can easily find what they need.
* **Processing orders and deliveries**: You'll work closely with our logistics team to ensure that orders are processed accurately and delivered on time.
* **Cross-functionally training**: We believe in empowering our associates to take on new challenges, so you'll have the opportunity to cross-train in other areas of the store to help deliver the best possible customer service.
**Key Responsibilities**
As a Customer Service Associate in our Tool Rental department, your key responsibilities will include:

**Minimum Qualifications**
To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you'll need to meet the following minimum qualifications:
* **6 months experience using a computer**: You'll need to be comfortable using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
* **6 months experience using common retail technology**: You'll need to be familiar with smart phones and tablets, as well as other common retail technology.
* **Reading, writing, and basic arithmetic**: You'll need to be able to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic (addition and subtraction).
* **Prolonged standing and sitting**: You'll need to be able to perform duties that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary to perform job duties.
* **Lifting 25lbs unassisted**: You'll need to be able to lift 25lbs unassisted or over 25lbs with or without an accommodation.
**Preferred Qualifications**
While the minimum qualifications are essential, we're also looking for candidates with the following preferred qualifications:
* **6 months of retail and/or customer service experience**: If you have experience in retail or customer service, we'd love to hear from you!
* **Bi-lingual skills**: We're committed to serving our diverse customer base, so bi-lingual skills are a definite plus.
* **Certification in trade related to department**: If you have certification in a trade related to our department (e.g., hardware, kitchen, plumbing, electrical, lawn and garden, and lumber/building materials), we'd love to hear from you!
**Travel Requirements**
This role does not require regular travel; however, you may need to travel occasionally to meetings, training, or to support neighboring stores.
**Working Conditions**
Environmental factors vary by location, and you may be working in both inside and outside weather conditions. Exposure to varying climates, including extreme heat or cold, wet, damp, humid, windy, or drafty conditions, is possible. You may be exposed to constant or intermittent noises in addition to moving or shaking objects and equipment.
