Participating in department affairs, contribute to curriculum development, advise students and assume other responsibilities as assigned by the Dean and/or Nurse Administrator.Required Qualifications: Applications are reviewed for minimum qualifications. In order to be considered, your application must clearly show you meet the minimum qualifications for this position.Education and Experience:Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a current unencumbered Oregon RN license plus a minimum of three years full-time experience as a Registered Nurse.Must have current experience in the clinical area of need/hire. Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in Nursing, documentation of preparation in a clinical specialty, teaching experience. Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: Requires the ability to work with staff and students. Work is performed in an office or classroom setting with minimal exposure to safety or health hazards.Essential Duties: Instruct and oversee nursing students in the clinical environment, which includes the following:Select appropriate assignments.Conduct pre and/or post clinical conferences.Assist in nursing skills development.Evaluate clinical performance in meeting course outcomes. Identify safety concerns or issues in student performance.Write student performance reports.Confer with students on their progress.Participate in clinical team meetings with faculty.Keep office hours in accordance with college policy.Meet clinical group at scheduled times and dates.
