Job Overview and Key Responsibilities

As a Ramp Agent, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our customers' baggage and cargo arrive safely and on time. This entry-level position offers a unique opportunity to advance your career with mentorship from our experienced leaders. Your daily tasks will include:

  • Safely lifting, loading, unloading, and transporting baggage, mail, and cargo to and from aircraft, as well as guiding incoming and departing aircraft from gate positions to ensure timely connections.
  • Safeguarding cargo, baggage, and mail from damage, loss, and weather conditions.
  • Safely driving and operating ground equipment such as tugs, belt loaders, and tow tractors in areas of congestion.
  • Operating baggage scanners and computers to ensure baggage is routed accurately to the customers' destination.

Our scheduling is based on operational needs, with shifts ranging from early morning to overnight. You will work between 20 and 40 hours per week, depending on your seniority. As a Ramp Agent, you will be required to work in a physical environment, bending, lifting, standing, and walking, with tasks that can be repetitive and completed in harsh weather conditions.

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need to:

  • Prioritize safety and security of yourself, others, and personal data.
  • Embrace diverse people, thinking, and styles.
  • Hold a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
  • Be at least 18 years of age and have authorization to work in the United States.
  • Have a valid driver's license.
  • Be proficient in English.
  • Pass a physical ability test (PAT) and wear required company-approved Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Ability to hold airport-specific requirements such as a SIDA Badge and Customs Seal.
