About the Role

The Digital Operations Client Service Manager is a critical member of our Milan-based Italian advertising sales and operations team. As a key player in our client services group, you will be responsible for leading a team of digital operations client service specialists to plan and execute the operational components of our advertising campaigns. This includes pre-sale guidance, media planning, campaign setup, analysis, optimization, reporting, and invoicing, covering all forms of advertising activity across our digital properties. With a particular focus on video advertising, including our flagship product, Disney+, as well as additional digital assets such as websites, apps, and social platforms, you will ensure that we deliver exceptional support, execute effective campaigns, and help our clients unlock the full potential of our brands and products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of digital operations client service specialists to support assigned sales representatives and related clients through all stages of the campaign lifecycle, from planning to invoicing
  • Deliver effective media plans that maximize revenue and drive functional efficiency
  • Allocate team responsibilities while contributing to and assisting with campaign management, including stock gauging, media plan creation, order entry, negotiation, optimization, reporting, and invoicing
  • Ensure that the Account Manager is fully trained on campaign execution and able to address all related questions
  • Act as the primary point of contact for any escalations on complex issues or requests related to inventory, ad products, or campaigns
  • Collaborate with Sales, Finance, and Accounting to track revenue and ensure accurate invoicing
  • Investigate and resolve ad delivery, ad quality, and technical issues, liaising with global Ad Platforms support
  • Test potential ad tech vendor integrations and provide feedback on contract negotiations
  • Ideate, implement, review, and improve operational processes that drive quality and efficiency
  • Analyze utilization and performance of digital inventory to develop strategies and products that maximize revenue yield
  • Manage, mentor, and develop talent, including training new hires
  • Create and update internal documentation to clarify processes and best practices
  • Collaborate with regional teams and act as a local center of excellence for other offices across EMEA
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of blithequark's ad tech stack and ecosystem, and stay informed about industry developments

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A graduate degree or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of overall experience in the advertising industry, either publisher/agency side or in ad tech
  • Team management experience
  • Expertise in defining and improving processes
  • Proven ability in activating campaigns, creating accurate and relevant insights, and optimizing performance
  • Solid understanding of programmatic advertising, technologies that power it, and key vendors in the space
  • Familiarity with general data security and privacy requirements related to digital advertising
  • Ability to represent the company in external meetings and events
  • Media or entertainment brand experience is desirable, as is knowledge of the processes and procedures of a global corporation
  • Essential knowledge of ad operations systems (e.g., Google Ad Manager), ad server systems (e.g., DV360), and management of Creative Labels and Tracking to support and lead the assigned team
  • Knowledge of Massive activation for digital campaigns and related requirements

  • Strong understanding of the digital advertising ecosystem, including publishers, agencies, and ad tech vendors
  • Experience with data analysis and insights, and the ability to use data to inform campaign optimization and improvement
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
