Job Summary
The Customer Service Representative is an entry-level position that plays a vital role in meeting the needs of our customers by providing exceptional service and support. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for handling customer inquiries, resolving issues, and promoting our products and services. Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service by listening to customer needs, understanding their concerns, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Use various software applications to accomplish daily tasks with minimal errors and maintain accurate records of cash and negotiable instruments.
- Buy and sell currency from the vault as necessary, ensuring that teller drawer cash limits are not exceeded.
- Understand the features and benefits of blithequark consumer and business products and services and promote them to customers as appropriate.
- Work effectively in a team-oriented environment and follow all bank policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, and Ability
- Customer service-oriented individual with a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment and utilize tools and training programs to exceed customer expectations.
- Basic mathematical and cash handling skills, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office products (including Outlook and Word).
- Understanding and application of banking compliance regulations.
- Bilingual abilities are a plus.
Education or Formal Training
No specific education or formal training required, but previous cash handling and/or customer service experience is preferred.
Experience
An entry-level position requiring little or no banking experience, but previous cash handling and/or customer service experience is a plus.
Working Conditions
Working Environment
This job operates in a clerical office setting, and you'll be working with standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. You'll be standing for long periods of time, and some evening and weekend hours may be included.
Physical Activities
Representative of those which must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job, including standing for long periods of time, good eyesight, hand/finger dexterity, and ability to handle some mental stress when dealing with upset customers.
