Proofreading Specialist
A Proofreader, also known as a Copy Editor, reviews various types of written content and documents to ensure they’re error-free. The duties in a Proofreader job description may include correcting grammatical mistakes, fact-checking information, and verifying that the formatting and style follow provided guidelines to ensure consistency.
Duties and Responsibilities include:
• Checking written material for typos and mistakes related to grammar, spelling, punctuation, and word usage.
• Fixing errors in written content before publication.
• Verifying correct formatting, such as proper use of headers.
• Improving consistency with style and language.
• Fact-checking dates, claims, and other information.
• Tracking changes made to the material.
• Collaborating with Editors and writers to improve content.
• Ensuring content meets editorial guidelines.
