Job Description Summary Baer Manufacturing, a prominent leader in manufacturing electrical components, is seeking a Lean and Engineering Manager with a deep expertise in the Toyota Production System (TPS) and Design for Manufacturability (DFM). This role is critical in driving operational excellence and ensuring that our manufacturing processes for electrical components and systems are both efficient and optimized for production quality. Job Description: Role & Responsibilities •Champion the implementation and adherence to the Toyota Production System principles to enhance manufacturing efficiency and eliminate waste. •Create and lead the engineering strategy in applying Design for Manufacturability to ensure that all products are optimized for manufacturing while meeting cost, quality, and performance objectives. •Develop and refine manufacturing processes that align with the Toyota Production System and Design for Manufacturability principles, ensuring seamless, cost-effective production flows. •Collaborate closely with project managers and design teams to integrate manufacturability into the early stages of product design. •Lead and manage the Baer Management System •Conduct regular reviews and updates of manufacturing practices to ensure they remain aligned with the latest industry standards and technological advancements. •Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging innovation and efficiency improvements in all aspects of manufacturing. •Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and regulatory requirements in the manufacturing process. •Coach and mentor leaders in the organization to see and eliminate waste Qualifications and Education Requirements •Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred. •Minimum of 7 years of experience in manufacturing management, with a strong background in the Toyota Production System and Design for Manufacturability. •Demonstrated leadership in managing engineering teams with a focus on lean manufacturing and efficient design principles. •Proficient in engineering tools, and data analysis, with a strong understanding of manufacturing technologies. •Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction industry. •Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership techniques, production methods, and the coordination of manpower and resources. •Ability to develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish the work. •Effectively communicate verbally and in writing. •Ability to train, delegate, and coordinate work of Assistant Project Manager, Estimators, and other team members. Physical Requirements •This job operates in a professional office environment. •This role regularly uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, filing cabinets, photocopiers and fax machines. •This position requires the ability to lift files and open file cabinets. •Employees are frequently required to sit, stand, and occasionally required to bend, kneel, reach, stoop, or crouch. •This position may occasionally lift up to 10 pounds. Pay Range: $110,000.00 - $160,000.00 Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
