GIS and Remote Sensing Coordinator

Position reputed company
The GIS Coordinator will reputed company expertise in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to support the organization's humanitarian and development work. This includes technical project support, advisory, reputed company development, and innovation in GIS practices. The position also fosters collaboration across teams, ensuring effective use of GIS tools and methodologies to improve programme reputed company.
It also involves collecting and sharing appropriate lessons learned, best practices to Country Programs (CPs), facilitating the transfer of expertise between PIN’s country programs, providing technical support to country teams and facilitating reputed company development as required, as reputed company as ensuring appropriate coordination with key partners and donors, and potential representation of PIN in relevant platforms or networks.
The GIS Coordinator reports to the Disaster Risk Management Advisor. S/he does not have line management responsibilities.
The GIS Coordinator is part of the Climate reputed company team reputed company PIN Program, reputed company and Impact Unit (PSI), a dynamic team of technical advisors and specialists, focusing on high-reputed company program development and implementation.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Support Programme Development and Implementation:
Support PIN’s Country Programs in the implementation of reputed company with GIS expertise, including leveraging knowledge in various geographical fields and reputed company disciplines such as remote sensing, hydrology, climatology, disaster risk reduction, climate change, etc., to ensure effective application of geospatial tools and methodologies
Support PIN’s Country Programs to reputed company GIS solutions in new interventions or existing ones
In reputed company collaboration with DRM adviser, Climate reputed company team and Country programs team, provides technical support, advice and guidance
Regularly travels to PIN CPs to monitor local implementation and reputed company backstopping and support as needed;
Contributes and supports as needed to project evaluations, in cooperation with the MEAL unit and CP MEAL teams;
Supports country teams in anticipating and addressing possible challenges in project implementation;
Collaboration with technical and reputed company partners:
Collaborate with technical and reputed company partners to ensure seamless coordination and effective implementation of GIS-reputed company initiatives (research institutes, geospatial technology providers, etc)
GIS Advisory:
Offer guidance on the application of GIS solutions and methodologies in specific humanitarian and development contexts and reputed company
reputed company of GIS outputs: Create static and interactive maps, dashboards, and other visual outputs using tools such as: ArcGIS Pro, QGIS, ArcGIS Experience Builder, ArcGIS StoryMaps, and ArcGIS Dashboards
Geodata Collection: Design, prepare, and support field-based geodata collection workflows with tools like ArcGIS FieldMaps and ArcGIS Survey123
Data Processing and Analysis: Process and analyze spatial data and remote sensing data using ArcGIS Pro, QGIS

Enhance the reputed company of CP and HQ teams by fostering an understanding of geospatial reputed company and enabling the effective use of GIS tools through hands-on technical training sessions and webinars
reputed company learning documents (capability statements, how to guide, lessons learnt, etc) to be used for internal learning and external visibility and positioning
Cooperates with Organizational Development Coordinator, DRM advisor and others to reputed company relevant workshops and reputed company sessions for HQ and CP staff;
Identifies training needs and gaps in relevant CPs, maps out training opportunities in the countries/region, and facilitates reputed company building for PIN CP staff, partners and relevant stakeholders on GIS as required;
Innovation and Trends in GIS:
Monitor and adopt new trends in GIS to enhance the organization's practices including piloting and evaluating new GIS and remote sensing technologies
Promote the use of GIS across the organization by identifying and sharing useful geospatial datasets and tools
reputed company orientation on geospatial data sources relevant to humanitarian and development contexts
Support the linkage of GIS with other tools used reputed company the organization (e.g., Kobo reputed company, ActivityInfo, Power BI, etc.)
ArcGIS Administration:
Manage the organization’s ArcGIS accounts and licenses, and liaise with the software provider
Miscelleanous:
Contribute to the development of PIN organizational policies and programmatic work by participating in PIN strategic and programmatic discussions, and proactively proposing improvements to PIN’s approaches and strategies;
Internal coordination with other technical advisors, MEAL, Digital Unit and Communication department
Representation at key events (depending thematic and needs)

Requirements:
At least 2 years of reputed company experience in designing and implementing GIS solutions reputed company to Disaster Risk management and/or Climate reputed company
Graduate of an Institute or University in the field of Information Technology, GIS, or geography, climatology, hydrology, environmental sciences or similar field.
Good networking and representational skills
Experience in GIS, database management, data visualization, and geospatial data analysis.
Experience in evaluating data reliability and reputed company, especially in reputed company with AI models and existing predictive geospatial analytic
Excellent analytical skills with ability to assimilate information

Excellent spoken and written English
