About the Role
As a Remote Call Center Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you will be the initial point of contact for inquiries from potential and existing Iowa Medicaid Program recipients and affiliates. You will provide one-to-one telephone contact with applicants, beneficiaries, and enrollees in customer service roles, ensuring that all interactions are handled with professionalism, empathy, and a commitment to resolving issues efficiently. Your primary goal will be to deliver exceptional customer service, addressing the needs of our clients while maintaining a high level of technical and program policy proficiency in the Iowa Family Care rules and guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the initial point of contact for inquiries from potential and existing Iowa Medicaid Program recipients and affiliates, providing clear, complete, accurate, and objective information based on a full understanding of program requirements.
- Provide one-to-one telephone contact with applicants, beneficiaries, and enrollees in customer service roles, ensuring that all interactions are handled with professionalism and empathy.
- Accurately document enrollment requests and status changes, maintaining up-to-date records and ensuring data integrity.
- Enter application and enrollment information into a web-based computer system for customers wishing to apply for the program over the telephone, ensuring that all information is accurate and complete.
- Maintain technical and program policy proficiency in the Iowa Family Care rules/guidelines and other related program policies, staying up-to-date with changes and updates to ensure that customers receive the most accurate and relevant information.
- Provide clear, complete, accurate, and objective information based on a full understanding of program requirements, addressing customer inquiries and resolving issues efficiently and effectively.
Essential Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a basic understanding of a call center environment in a customer service role and quality monitoring processes. You should be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with applicants, beneficiaries, and co-workers, demonstrating excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A high school diploma or GED is required, and you must reside within 1 hour driving distance from Des Moines, IA. Additionally, you will need to have reliable internet access and be able to navigate a computer with ease.
