Content and Copy Editor for Children's Books
We are seeking a skilled content and copy editor to work on children's books. Each book consists of 14 spreads, and characters have detailed profiles including secrets, backgrounds, tendencies, and flaws. The ideal candidate will ensure consistency and engagement throughout the stories.
The ideal candidate can do the following:
- make the word count the least possible while ensuring stylistic consistency and voice in the series
- check for character arcs
- check for comedic pauses and overall pacing
- make suggestions and notes for stylistic improvements and consistency
