About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Remote Call Center Customer Service Representative to join our team as a Medicaid Member Support Specialist. In this role, you will be the initial point of contact for inquiries from potential and existing Iowa Medicaid Program recipients and affiliates, providing one-to-one telephone support and ensuring that all interactions are handled with empathy, professionalism, and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries, responding to questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Provide clear, complete, and accurate information to customers based on a thorough understanding of program requirements and policies.
  • Accurately document enrollment requests and status changes, maintaining up-to-date records and ensuring data integrity.
  • Enter application and enrollment information into a web-based computer system for customers wishing to apply for the program over the telephone.
  • Maintain technical and program policy proficiency in the Iowa Family Care rules and guidelines, as well as other related program policies.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve customer issues and provide support as needed.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Must reside within 1 hour driving distance from Des Moines, IA.
