Our team is passionate about making a difference, and we're looking for like-minded individuals to join us on this journey. **The Role** As a Remote Call Center Customer Service Representative, you'll be responsible for: * Acting as the initial point of contact for inquiries from potential and existing Iowa Medicaid Program recipients and affiliates * Providing one-to-one telephone contact with applicants, beneficiaries, and enrollees in customer service roles * Accurately documenting enrollment requests and status changes * Entering application and enrollment information into a web-based computer system for customers wishing to apply for the program over the telephone * Maintaining technical and program policy proficiency in the Iowa Family Care rules/guidelines and other related program policies * Providing clear, complete, accurate, and objective information based on a full understanding of program requirements **Requirements** To be successful in this role, you'll need: * A basic understanding of a call center environment in a customer service role and quality monitoring processes * The ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with applicants, beneficiaries, and co-workers * The ability to problem solve through analysis and ongoing feedback * The ability to achieve results through knowledge, empathy, and commitment * A high school diploma or GED * A background check * The ability to reside within 1 hour driving distance from Des Moines, IA **Preferred Qualifications** * Excellent customer service skills * Excellent phone etiquette skills * Reliable internet access * Ability to navigate a computer * Ability to understand and utilize policy * Excellent typing and grammar skills **What We Offer** As a Remote Call Center Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you'll enjoy: * A competitive hourly rate of $18.00 * Paid training with equipment provided * A full-time schedule (40 hours a week) * Career growth opportunities * PerkSpot employee discount program * Full benefit options, including health insurance coverage, voluntary dental and vision programs, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO) or vacation and/or sick time **Work Environment and Culture** At blithequark, we're committed to creating a positive, employee-friendly culture where individuality is valued and creativity is encouraged.
