Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Part-time Payroll and Benefits Specialist, where you’ll play a vital role in managing payroll processes and benefits administration from the comfort of your home! You will be responsible for ensuring accurate payroll management, maintaining employee records, and supporting our team with benefits-related inquiries. What you’ll do • Process payroll accurately and on time using various payroll systems like Paycor, this is a hard requirement! • Administer employee benefits programs and respond to inquiries regarding benefits eligibility and enrollment. • Maintain accurate employee records within HRIS (Human Resource Information System) and ensure compliance with relevant regulations. • Conduct data entry tasks with precision, ensuring all payroll and benefits information is up-to-date. • Collaborate with accounting teams to reconcile accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded accurately. • Assist in tax-related matters by preparing necessary documentation and reports as required. • Perform general ledger accounting tasks including journal entries, account reconciliation, and double-entry bookkeeping. • Analyze payroll data to identify trends or discrepancies, providing insights to improve processes. Basic qualifications • Strong attention to detail with excellent analysis skills. • Proficiency in accounting software such as Paycor QuickBooks or similar platforms. Preferred qualifications • Experience with payroll management systems like PAYCOR. • Familiarity with non-profit accounting practices is a plus! • Knowledge of governmental accounting principles and financial concepts.
