[Remote] AI Lead - Digital Health & Wellness (Founding Team, US-Remote)

The AI Lead will be responsible for leading the design and evolution of Zumlo's AI architecture, optimizing multi-model systems, and collaborating across teams to create empathetic and useful AI-driven products. Responsibilities • Lead the design and evolution of Zumlo’s AI architecture — the brain behind how we personalize, recommend, summarize, and guide. • Build and optimize multi-model systems that combine structured, unstructured, and contextual data. • Design adaptive prompts, smart questions, and meaningful notifications that reflect user state and progress. • Integrate data and signals from devices, sensors, and third-party systems to enable contextual understanding. • Architect long-term memory systems and feedback loops that improve personalization over time. • Collaborate across product, design, and clinical teams to build AI that feels genuinely human, empathetic, and useful. • Explore and implement new research, tools, and frameworks to keep Zumlo’s intelligence layer ahead of the curve. • Lead experimentation, rapid prototyping, and optimization — balancing creativity with reliability and ethics. Skills • Strong background in AI/ML, NLP, or applied data systems (your track record and problem-solving matter more than years). • Proven ability to design, deploy, and optimize AI-driven products or multi-model systems. • Deep understanding of how to work with structured + unstructured data, user behavior, and personalization pipelines. • Experience with retrieval, reasoning, or adaptive learning systems. • A builder’s mindset — comfortable experimenting, iterating, and creating clarity from ambiguity. • Curiosity and creative problem-solving — always exploring new ideas, frameworks, and research. • A genuine passion for human well-being and responsible AI.
