Job Overview
The Entry Level Data Entry Specialist will be responsible for performing daily reconciliation, trade, and transfer activities for various investments. This is a remote work opportunity, offering the flexibility and convenience of working from home. The ideal candidate will possess a strong and diverse skillset, with excellent organizational and analytical skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Process exchange buy and sell transactions in customer profiles, and identify and address breaks recognized between blithequark and fund companies or transfer representatives
- Handle Corporate Activity Events, settle and reconcile transfer activity, and process and reconcile returns activity
- Conduct research on complex and escalated issues, and perform testing and validation of new technology improvements and company changes
- Complete projects in Investing, Dividends, Transfers, Reconciliation, and Corporate Actions that directly impact Client/Advisor accounts
- Communicate primarily with Retail and Institutional Business Teams through email, phone, Slack, Outlook, and Salesforce
- Collaborate with blithequark teams, including fund companies, transfer brokers, contra organizations, and other external business partners
Tasks Analysis
- Client review of membership deals or transactions requests
- Client/Advisor level exceptions
- Regulatory commitments (Examples: 2340 and 15C3-3)
- Settlement of Corporate, Dividend, and Transfer Breaks
- Reconciliation around BOS and Fund Companies
- Evaluation and analysis of relevant tax code and corrections of tax coding
Trouble Shooting
- Internal/External system enhancements or issues
- Origin of breaks between blithequark, the Fund, etc.
- Delivering method or technology solution options to Control
- Remediating transmission problems with the Fund or Contra Agency
- Responding to service partner inquiries regarding Fund specific requirements/eligibility
- Providing action on Option Investment moves to expedite the client request or remediate not in good order issues
- Timely and accurate completion of client investing and returns requests
Essential and Preferred Qualifications
To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1-2 years of experience in data entry or a related field
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to learn and adapt to new systems and processes quickly
Preferred qualifications include:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field
- 2-3 years of experience in data entry or a related field
- Experience with financial systems and software
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance
