Job Overview
As a BPO Customer Care Voice Associate at blithequark, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality customer service to patients, providers, and other stakeholders. Your primary responsibility will be to respond to inquiries regarding insurance coverage, claims, and other related topics, ensuring that all interactions are handled with empathy, accuracy, and professionalism. You will be working in a fast-paced environment, handling a high volume of calls, emails, and other written communications, and collaborating with other teams to resolve customer inquiries and complaints.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate the basis of quality, productivity, accuracy of information, and attendance and punctuality, as measured by the monitoring of recorded calls
- Provide accurate information in a helpful, collaborative manner to callers through thorough knowledge of End Client products, policies, and procedures
- Captures and documents customer feedback, receives, resolves, and routes complaints as defined by department policy, procedures, and guidelines
- Interact with other End Client staff to resolve customer inquiries, complaints, and problems, particularly in Claims Services, Provider Services, ILR/COB, Payment Processing, the Provider Processing Center, Provider Relations, Provider Contracting, Medical Management, Benefits Administration, Pharmacy Services, and the Behavioral Health and High-End Imaging vendors
- Handle calls regarding claim status, appeal status, eligibility, and benefits, referral, and authorizations
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- 1 year of customer service experience in a medical office or hospital setting
- 1 year of computer experience with Windows PC applications
- 1 year of work-from-home experience
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, to exchange information with clients and other stakeholders
- High-speed, reliable internet (40 MBPS min.) and a hardwired connection due to HIPAA requirements
- A quiet, interruption-free workspace (you will be asked to show your home workspace during the interview)
- Availability to work Monday-Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. CST, with flexibility to adjust shift timings as per client requirements
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:
- 1-3 years of experience in customer service within a medical office or hospital setting
- Experience using a computer with Windows PC applications that required you to use a keyboard, navigate screens, and learn new software tools
- Previous experience working in a call center or customer service environment
- Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare industry practices
