Job Summary

As a Customer Service Clerk I at blithequark, you will be responsible for executing a variety of clerical duties, resolving customer complaints, and providing exceptional support to our valued customers. Your primary responsibilities will include collecting utility payments, processing applications for utility services, and maintaining accurate records. Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to customer inquiries and resolve complaints concerning utility bills in a professional and courteous manner
  • Receive, open, and process mail, ensuring timely and accurate processing of customer correspondence
  • Process customer utility payments through cash registers, balancing cash registers and cash boxes daily to maintain financial accuracy
  • Prepare and process accounts for utility billing, ensuring seamless and efficient service delivery
  • Maintain landlord and rental property files, as well as active utility files, to ensure data integrity and compliance
  • Interview the public on matters requiring the interpretation of office policies and procedures, providing clear and concise information
  • Process customer applications for utility services, ensuring a smooth and efficient onboarding process
  • Perform related duties as required, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service

Essential Qualifications and Skills

To succeed in this role, you will require a high school education or equivalent, with experience in clerical work involving considerable contact with the public and handling money preferred. You will possess:
