Job Overview and Responsibilities

In this critical role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for our patients and client facilities, handling inbound and outbound calls, emails, and other communications with empathy, professionalism, and a solution-oriented approach. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Handling inbound and outbound calls from patients and client facilities, listening to their concerns, and resolving issues in a timely and effective manner
  • Using computer systems to navigate screens, notate interactions, and effectuate a positive patient experience
  • Performing administrative duties, such as managing email, completing assignments, and other tasks as required
  • Actively participating in regular departmental meetings, facility town halls, and individual meetings to provide feedback on customer service operations and process improvement strategies
  • Collaborating with internal teams to resolve complex issues, escalate concerns, and identify opportunities for process improvements
  • Providing exceptional customer service, ensuring patient satisfaction, and promoting a positive image of blithequark

Essential Qualifications and Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • Be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate a computer and use various software applications
  • Demonstrated ability to be detail-oriented, analytical, and a creative problem solver
  • Proven track record of being positive, solution-oriented, and having a great sense of humor
  • Ability to type at least 30 words per minute
  • Must have reliable, consistent transportation (note: this role is remote, but you may need to travel for training or meetings)
  • Ability to pass a background check and a drug screen

Preferred Qualifications and Wow Factors

While not required, the following qualifications and experiences will be considered a plus:

  • Previous medical office experience, including working knowledge of revenue cycle, medical terminology, and insurance claim filing experience
  • Billing or other revenue cycle certifications
  • Experience working in a remote or virtual environment
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, laws, and standards
  • Proficiency in multiple languages
