Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Remote Customer Service Representative to join our team in New York. As a Member Service Representative, you will provide exceptional telephone support to blithequark Medicaid members and providers, addressing a wide range of inquiries and concerns. Your goal will be to deliver an outstanding customer experience with every interaction, ensuring that our customers feel heard, valued, and supported.
Key Responsibilities
- Answer incoming calls from members and providers, responding to questions and concerns about benefits, eligibility, services, prior authorization requirements, and other related topics.
- Provide accurate and timely information, resolving issues efficiently and effectively to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Utilize high-speed internet connectivity via ethernet cable (Wi-Fi not permitted) and company-provided equipment to perform job duties.
- Participate in comprehensive training programs, including an initial 6-week training schedule (8:30 AM - 5:00 PM EST, Monday through Friday), to develop the skills and knowledge required for success in this role.
- Work from home, demonstrating self-sufficiency and discipline in a remote work environment, with occasional requirements to commute to the office in New York, NY, in case of prolonged technical issues.
Requirements and Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following essential qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to communicate effectively with members and providers, both orally and in writing, with strong customer service skills and a patient-centric approach.
- Capacity to meet performance standards, attendance requirements, and call quality goals, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences.
- Reliable high-speed internet connectivity via ethernet cable and a dedicated workspace that meets company requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:
- Experience working remotely in a call center setting, with a proven track record of success in a similar role.
- Familiarity with Medicaid and Medicare, with knowledge of relevant regulations and guidelines.
