Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Customer Service Representative to join our team in a 100% remote capacity. As a Customer Service Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our various lines of business, including Student Enrollment Management, Alumni Placement Verification Services, and Student Loan Counseling. You will handle inbound and outbound customer calls, provide clear verbal and written communications, and assist customers with repayment of their educational obligations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Meet outbound and inbound telephone call productivity needs and be highly productive in a fast-paced environment
  • Utilize telephones, email, chat, and text communication with customers to provide timely and professional responses
  • Provide clear verbal and written communications to assist customers with repayment of their educational obligations
  • Properly utilize our CRM system for technical inquiries and follow up with customers for resolution
  • Follow policies and procedures regarding escalations and update records with current demographic and contact information
  • Comprehend training material on a variety of topics and share new concepts and content with the team
  • Adhere to all federal and state laws governing the industry and our company guidelines and policies
  • Attain all Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and monthly performance goals

Essential Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Passion for customer service and helping others
  • Ability to establish and maintain rapport with customers through effective communication and timely follow-up
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-starter with a great degree of internal motivation and ability to operate and navigate various technical devices and systems
  • Ability to troubleshoot common computer issues and adapt to new technology

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in customer service or a related field
  • Knowledge of the Education FinTech industry or student loan repayment
  • Experience with CRM systems and technology-based customer service platforms
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
