• Handle patient medication requests, investigate missing information, and interpret clinical abbreviations (SIG codes) in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
• Resolve third-party rejections by reviewing, gathering information, making corrections, and resubmitting for processing according to individual plan requirements.
• Communicate with patients, prescribers, and other stakeholders via phone, email, or messaging to resolve issues and provide support.
• Collaborate with pharmacists and other team members to ensure seamless delivery of services and resolve any issues that may arise.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, and perform other duties as assigned by management.

Essential Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Basic level computer skills, including starting and shutting down a computer, using a mouse, and accessing information online.
• Basic web browser skills, including opening a browser, typing URLs, using a search engine, and completing online forms.
• Intermediate level keyboarding skills (at least 25 WPM, typing by memory, and organizing documents).
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Preferred Qualifications:

While not required, the following preferred qualifications will make you a more competitive candidate:

• At least 1 year of experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or call center environment.
• At least 1.5 years of experience as a pharmacy technician with a certification/registration by the state, as granted by the State Board of Pharmacy or a nationally recognized certification agency.
• Experience providing customer service to internal and external clients, including meeting quality standards for services and assessing customer satisfaction.
• Intermediate to advanced level keyboarding skills (at least 35 WPM, typing by memory, and organizing documents).
• Fluency in Spanish and English.
