GIS Director-Remote

About the position CBRE's Location Intelligence team is looking for a top-tier professional to manage a high-performing team of GIS professionals who deliver unique, interactive products and services in support of our clients' across all lines of business and asset types. Responsibilities • Counsel clients on Location Intelligence-based solutions including consulting, demonstrations, and providing custom solutions. • Supervise and manage all aspects of production for Consulting and/or high-value assignments. • Recommend, collaborate, and implement changes to internal processes to improve GIS content delivery. • Provide guidance to management and sales professionals regarding specific data and products. • Serve as workload and traffic manager for the Consulting GIS team. • Coordinate and manage large national projects, including new business pursuits and existing corporate accounts. • Intervene when concerns or feedback is raised and address them with clients and GIS professionals. • Serve as champion of the Location Intelligence platform and educate end-user groups. • Partner with the Sr. Director of Location Intelligence to source top-talent and support team development. • Make recommendations to Location Intelligence leaders for improvements to applications. • Provide formal supervision to individual employees on the Consulting team. Requirements • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) or equivalent in Geography or a related field. • Minimum of 7+ years related work experience in GIS Technology. • At least 3 years in a supervisory capacity managing a team of direct reports. • Direct experience in site selection for retail, industrial, or commercial real estate settings is preferred. • Geographic Information Systems Professional (GISP) or related certifications preferred. • Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex business documents. • Ability to write reports, manuals, speeches, and articles. • Mastery of ArcGIS Suite and related extensions. • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Alteryx, and Microsoft Office Suite is highly preferred. Nice-to-haves • Master's Degree is preferred. • Knowledge of GIS terms, concepts, and definitions with the ability to teach users.
