Job Summary

We are searching for a profoundly energetic and solution-oriented Senior Data Science Analyst to join our Search and Recommendations Analysis team. The team uses blithequark's vast datasets to inform the development of our recommendations. We work in close collaboration with a high-performing team of specialists, AI engineers/data scientists, and product managers who are on the cutting edge of the product recommendation space. As a Senior Data Science Analyst, you will be responsible for designing, running, and analyzing the results of A/B tests of new recommendation algorithms and systems, as well as developing new testing and test analysis procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Run unconditional exploratory data analysis to identify novel ideas and opportunities
• Design and run A/B tests of our latest recommendations algorithms
• Proactively monitor our recommendation models to identify potential issues, determine root causes, and resolve
• Build new tools that allow us to be more efficient and effective
• Work closely and build useful relationships with our product, engineering, and AI partners
• Communicate key insights and recommendations to cross-functional executive leaders across the organization

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, statistics, economics, or other quantitative discipline; Master's degree preferred
• Analysis or Data Science experience with e-commerce organizations is a strong asset
• In-depth experience with SQL (full capabilities, query optimization, stored procedures, string parsing, Vertica/Hive/Voila/Flash, etc.), required
• In-depth experience with Python and Python tools (Jupyter notebooks, functions, pandas, sklearn, matplotlib, etc.), required
• Experience with experimental design (A/B tests) and statistical analysis to drive business independent direction, highly preferred
• Knowledge and experience using machine learning algorithms/techniques (decision trees, random forests, deep learning, etc.) within a business setting, highly preferred
