Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our team at blithequark. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive patient care, including accurate evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and management of medical issues, as well as health counseling and behavior anticipating. You will also be responsible for administrative duties, such as opening and closing the facility, managing inventory, and ensuring a clean and safe environment for our patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive and family-confirmed care, including accurate evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and management of medical issues, health counseling, and behavior anticipating for our patients.
  • Perform administrative duties, including opening and closing the facility, managing inventory, patient movement, checking insurance, and collecting payment.
  • Be responsible for handling patient appointments and performing steering assessments to ensure positive patient health outcomes.
  • Perform duties, including consulting with patients about healthy lifestyle decisions, completing diagnostic tests to help diagnose and treat patients for injuries or illnesses, and coordinating with other healthcare professionals to maintain a comprehensive plan of care.
  • Encourage patients to become active participants in their healthcare and wellness through services like health screenings, social health, and health management.

Essential Qualifications

  • Provide comprehensive, evidence-based care, including accurate appraisal, diagnosis, treatment, and management of medical issues, health counseling, and behavior anticipating for our patients.
  • Order and administer vaccinations and injections (including but not limited to COVID-19, flu, TB, and Depo) and provide evidence-based patient/parent vaccine guidance and education.
  • At least two years of medically relevant experience or the equivalent.
  • Complete the Dot certification test in no less than 30 days of employment.
  • Depending on the market, the ability to be proficient in both speaking and writing in additional languages, not limited to but including Spanish.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, including but not limited to performing mouth-to-mouth and operating a Mechanical External Defibrillator (AED).
  • Pass a FIT test and wear the provided respirator mask when protocol requires.

Preferred Qualifications

  • If under 1 year of work experience as a licensed provider, previous student precepting rotation with blithequark is preferred, but entirely not necessary.

Education

  • Graduate degree-level Family Nurse Practitioner program with current National Board Accreditation and State of Employment license to practice in the Advanced Practice Nurse role.
  • Or, in select states, a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies (or other health-related Master's degree or equivalent experience along with a Bachelor's degree in science in Physician Assistant Studies) with current National Board Certification and State of Employment license to practice in the role.
