About the Role

Key Responsibilities

  • Communicate with customers via live chat or email to resolve their issues and provide support
  • Continuously learn about the features of our app and the broader Shopify ecosystem to provide expert guidance and support
  • Summarize product feedback from merchants and suggest new ways of product improvement
  • Perform non-CS related tasks, such as researching tools, writing blog posts, or creating mockups, based on your natural abilities and interests
  • Collaborate with the team to develop and implement customer support processes and systems
  • Provide technical documentation and articles to support our customers and internal teams

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess superb written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts at a high level. You should enjoy talking to people, be patient, and have a passion for solving problems. Additionally, you should be:

  • Able to handle difficult customers (although we have very few of those)
  • Proficient in discussing technical concepts at a high level
  • Comfortable working with basic CSS and JS, with a willingness to learn more if needed
  • Able to write technical documentation and articles
  • Willing to perform non-CS related tasks and wear multiple hats in a small startup environment
  • Able to have at least a 4-hour overlap with GMT 9am-6pm

Preferred Qualifications

While not essential, the following skills and experiences are highly desirable:

  • Experience working with Shopify, especially in theme development or customization
  • Experience working with B2B SaaS
  • Additional languages, such as French, Spanish, or Italian
  • Any other skills that can be beneficial to a startup, such as marketing, SEO, video editing, etc.
