Online Proofreader

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly accurate Online Proofreader to join our remote team. In this role, you will review and refine written content to ensure clarity, consistency, proper grammar, and adherence to brand and style guidelines. You will work with various documents, including articles, marketing materials, reports, website content, emails, and other written communications. This position is fully remote with flexible working hours. Key Responsibilities Review and proofread written content for grammar, punctuation, spelling, syntax, and formatting errors. Ensure consistency in tone, voice, and style across all materials. Verify accuracy of information and adherence to brand or project guidelines. Edit for clarity, flow, and readability while preserving the writer’s intended meaning. Collaborate with writers, editors, and content managers to correct issues and implement feedback. Track and record changes using editing tools (Google Docs, Microsoft Word, Grammarly, etc.). Meet deadlines for daily, weekly, or project-based assignments. Suggest improvements in overall writing quality or workflow processes. Qualifications Proven experience as a proofreader, editor, or similar writing-focused role. Exceptional command of English grammar, spelling, and punctuation. Strong attention to detail and ability to spot errors quickly. Familiarity with proofreading tools and style guides (AP, Chicago, MLA, etc.). Excellent time management and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote setting. Strong communication skills for collaborating with team members when necessary. Preferred Qualifications (Not Required) Degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Linguistics, or a related field. Experience working with content management systems or digital platforms. Background in technical writing, marketing, or academic proofreading.
