Job Overview

As an Assistant Customer Service Manager at blithequark, you will play a critical role in managing our Front End operations, ensuring that our customers receive extraordinary service, and our business goals are achieved. You will be responsible for supervising the performance of all Front End associates, maintaining an efficient and productive operation, and supporting the achievement of budgeted financial and operating results. Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise the performance of all Front End associates in the absence of the Customer Service Manager, ensuring that all duties and responsibilities are completed to a high standard
  • Manage the Front End during designated hours, maintaining an atmosphere of enthusiastic customer awareness and ensuring that all customers receive fast and easy service
  • Serve as a model for customer service, instilling this value in all associates and ensuring that our service standards are met or exceeded
  • Support the achievement of budgeted financial and operating results for the Front End, identifying opportunities to drive sales and minimize shrink
  • Ensure that all Front End schedules are written to provide extraordinary customer service at all times, and that all associates are aware of their roles and responsibilities
  • Maintain an efficient and productive Front End operation, ensuring that all equipment is functioning properly and that all safety protocols are followed
  • Provide coaching and recognition to associates, supporting their development and growth within the company
  • Train and develop Office Assistants and Cashiers, ensuring that they have the skills and knowledge required to perform their roles effectively
  • Communicate all cash variances to the Customer Service Manager, and research over/short discrepancies as reported by the blithequark Customer Support Center

Essential Qualifications

  • A high school graduate or equivalent preferred, with excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication, and customer service skills
  • Ability to perform the job duties and responsibilities of an Office Assistant, with a good understanding of store operations preferred
  • Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job, with excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lead and direct others, with a strong focus on customer service and associate development
  • Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions, and be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a customer-facing role, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service and driving business results
  • Experience in a supervisory or management role, with a strong understanding of store operations and Front End procedures
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with associates, customers, and other stakeholders
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong focus on attention to detail and accuracy
