Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Home Based Senior Specialist in Collections to join our team. As a remote customer service representative, you will interact with customers, negotiate payment arrangements, and provide exceptional service to our credit account holders. Key Responsibilities
- Interact with customers and negotiate payment arrangements for both inbound and outbound collections
- Provide a blithequark brand interaction with credit account holders by treating them with respect and appreciation, demonstrating courtesy and friendliness, and recognizing various account holder segments to offer suitable solutions
- Demonstrate problem-solving skills by probing or making recommendations for handling exceptional account situations (e.g., bankruptcy, CCC, deceased, legal, fraud, billing disputes, etc.)
- Work in a multi-media environment (emails, telephone calls, chat messages, and letters) that's challenging and fast-paced, requiring you to prioritize work accordingly
- Apply various data and resources to respond to questions, identify issues, and accurately resolve customer problems
Essential Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- 1-2 years of previous customer experience or customer service experience
- Ability to interact with customers, team members, and internal business partners with a professional, friendly, empathetic style, and de-escalate as needed
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including listening, negotiating, and decision-making abilities
- Experience handling escalated customer complaints
- Strong technical skills, ability to work within multiple systems, and high proficiency with PC/Microsoft applications
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in collections or customer service
- Knowledge of credit regulations and procedures, account payment terms, billing/collections systems, and various state and federal laws, regulations, and policies governing credit and collections
- Ability to work in a home-based environment with minimal distractions and a dedicated workspace

Technical Requirements
- Access to a home-based workspace that is free of noise distractions
- Hardwired internet in your home location (using an Ethernet cable to directly connect the blithequark-issued laptop to the modem or router)
- Meet the minimum bandwidth requirement of 40mbps download/5mbps upload
- Ability to engage through a blithequark-issued internet digital camera for required meetings, training, and/or interactions
- Ability to securely lift and carry up to 25 pounds of equipment
Compensation and Benefits
