[Remote] Remote Senior Estimator/Estimator (Structural/Misc Steel)

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Novax Recruitment Group is seeking a Senior Estimator/Estimator specializing in Structural and Miscellaneous Steel. The role involves estimating project costs based on customer documents and drawings, ensuring accurate material and labor cost estimations to meet project requirements. Responsibilities • Perform lump sum “Takeoff” of material, labor, and vendor costs using design drawings and specifications. • Communicate with General Contractors to clarify project requirements and timelines. • Request and manage vendor quotes for materials and services. • Review project specifications to ensure full scope coverage in estimates. • Provide the estimating manager with a detailed Scope of Work, inclusions/exclusions, and qualifications for proposal submission. • Track bid progress and follow up with contractors on bid awards. Skills • High School diploma required • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the steel fabrication industry • Ability to read and interpret Structural/Architectural drawings • Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel, and experience with Blue Beam and On-Screen Takeoff • Knowledge of AISC practices, Construction standards, and procedures from award to closeout • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree Company Overview • We specialise in delivering high-value, bespoke recruitment solutions using our in-depth knowledge of the Energy, Construction, civil engineering ,and manufacturing sectors Our team consists of ex-industry professionals and Recruitment Specialists who are dedicated to building long-term client relationships for both permanent and contract recruitment.
